The villa is situated in an area called Foral, between Algoz and Sao Bartolomeu de Messines, and is approximately 20 minutes drive north of Albufeira and a large number of beaches. The improved roads now mean that Faro airport is about 45 minutes by car. The Spanish border is about 1 hour and Seville 2 hours drive. The new motorway (A2 toll road) has reduced the journey to Lisbon to about 2 hours.
